The 2018 Sportsman Raffle
Save the Date:When: Saturday, February 3, 2018
Where: Albany County Fairgrounds Activity Center
Time: 5:00 PM pre-sale; 6:00 PM Auction
Cost: Tickets are $30.00 in advance. Tickets can be purchased at the West Laramie Fly Store, Ivinson Memorial Hospital Foundation, or at the Pine Cone Gift Shop at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. Tickets will be available at the door for $40.00.
The ticket provides entry into the event and serves as the raffle ticket for 12 firearms. Dinner, beverages, and a commemorative pint glass are also included while supplies last.
The event began in 2013 as a collaborative idea between Ted Fritz, Ivinson Director of Facilities and Guy Warpness, Board of Trustees member and Director for the Foundation, each of whom experienced the surprising popularity of this type of fundraiser on the East Coast. Both Warpness and Fritz believed this type of fundraising event would be welcomed in Wyoming. After its wild success, it did not disappoint. The Sportsman Raffle is an event for the "down home" rural community of Wyoming.
Additional guns are offered via a raffle, which takes place during the event. Businesses throughout the community sponsor the guns for auction.
